The Pecan Commission has partnered with Farmer's Fridge. The company operates hundreds of automatic smart refrigerators to give free limited edition pecan pie snacks to anyone whose flights are delayed or cancelled during Thanksgiving at selected airports from coast to coast, according to the news draft. Holiday treats are made of pecans, oatmeal, maple syrup and vanilla beans, packaged in portable cans, perfect for travelers.

The committee launched the Pecanceled Flights Set Right raffle. An unfortunate passenger who missed Thanksgiving due to a “pecanceled” flight will be the lucky winner of the “Pie in the Air” award: a round-trip flight from first class to a destination on Thanksgiving Day in the next five years. Air travel, a year's worth of pecans, etc.
